Inventing data, statistics, quotations, or academic references.

Cheating

Using unauthorized assistance during quizzes, assignments, exams, or graduation assessments.

Unauthorized Collaboration

Working with others on assignments that require individual submissions.

Contract Cheating

Using third parties to complete assignments, essays, or exams.

Misrepresentation

Providing false information to faculty or academic staff.

AI Misuse

Submitting AI-generated content as original work without disclosure or using AI tools to bypass academic learning processes.

Data Manipulation

Tampering with grades, submissions, or digital academic records.

Expectations for Students

Students are required to:

  • Produce original work for all assessments

  • Cite all sources properly using accepted academic formats

  • Follow instructions regarding collaboration and AI tool usage

  • Protect their account credentials and LMS access

  • Avoid sharing assignments or exam content with others

  • Report any observed misconduct

Students are encouraged to seek support from faculty or the AI Teaching Assistant if they are unsure about proper academic practices.

Academic Integrity in Online Learning

As a virtual institution, EBS enforces additional integrity rules for online formats:

  • Quizzes must be completed independently

  • Assignments must be typed and submitted individually

  • The Graduation Examination must be taken without assistance

  • AI-based plagiarism and content detection tools may be used

  • Identity verification may be required for assessments

All submissions are automatically screened for originality.

Consequences of Violations

Academic integrity violations may result in:

  • Warning and resubmission requirement

  • Grade reduction or assignment failure

  • Course failure

  • Suspension of LMS access

  • Cancellation of academic acceptance

  • Revocation of degree (in severe or repeated cases)
